Granitor's whistleblowing system - when you need to report serious misconduct
If you experience or suspect that someone in the Granitor Group's operations or projects is committing serious misconduct or if you see other serious irregularities, you should report these.
If you feel that someone is committing serious misconduct or see other serious irregularities, you should report this to your immediate manager or to the latter’s supervisor. If you feel that you cannot talk to any of these about the situation, we at Granitor have a special whistleblowing system for handling serious incidents.
When you report using the whistleblowing system, your report becomes completely anonymous. It is handled by an external service provider, which then contacts Granitor's evaluation team.
How does the system work?
When you report using the whistleblowing system, the matter will be handled by an external party that registers the report, anonymizes it, reports the matter to Granitor's evaluation team and then deletes the information. In this way, your anonymity can be ensured throughout the process.
The whistleblowing system is based on our whistleblowing policy, which aims to address serious misconduct and other serious irregularities.
An employee who reports through the whistleblowing system is protected against disciplinary measures in his or her employment (e.g. dismissal, demotion, suspension, harassment or other forms of discrimination) as a result of reporting a misconduct or other irregularities. Furthermore, a whistle-blower is protected if the report is found to be incorrect or unfounded, provided that it is done in good faith and the whistle-blower is convinced that the information and claims in it are true.
What incidents can I report?
When you feel that serious misconduct or other serious irregularities are taking place at your workplace or in your vicinity, you should report these. It is extremely important that such suspicions are reported. In the first instance, you should report to your immediate manager or to the latter’s supervisor, but if you feel that you cannot talk to any of these, you should use the whistleblowing system.
The whistleblowing system is there to report serious violations and reports are taken very seriously. Because of this, we take any abuse of the whistleblowing system seriously and such matters will be followed up.
Evaluation of the incident
Once the report has been submitted to Granitor, the evaluation team makes an initial assessment to determine how the incident should be handled. If necessary, an internal investigation will be opened. In some cases, external investigators and/or legal advisors are hired to assist with the investigation.
Investigation and measures
When the investigation is completed, it will be reviewed by Granitor's Group Management together with the Granitor company's management. Together they decide what measures need to be taken. Where necessary, the matter is handed over for further handling by relevant authorities.
